A Non-Invasive, Non Surgical Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy for Hair Restoration, Wrinkles, Scars, and Sun Damaged Skin
PRP, otherwise known as “Platelet Rich Plasma,” is an all-natural, autologous, in-office medical procedure successfully used by our physicians in the treatment of wrinkles, scars, sun-damaged skin, aging, acne scarred skin, and hair loss.
Regenerative Medicine: Proven Anti-Aging Techniques
Turn back the hands of time by using PRP to rejuvenate your appearance. Decrease your fine lines and wrinkles and look much younger without surgery.
What is PRP?
Platelets contain hundreds of proteins called "growth factors," which are very important in healing injuries. PRP is plasma that contains many more platelets than usually found in our blood. The concentration of platelets (and growth factors) is 4 times greater than usual. PRP dramatically improves the healing process by providing a higher concentration of platelets to the damaged tissue. PRP treatments are also known to have an invigorating effect on the stem cells in the targeted area, thereby aiding those cells to work harder to help heal damaged tissues.
How Does PRP Work?
Our highly trained physicians start the process by drawing a few vials of blood from the patient, similar to a simple blood test. The platelets are then separated from the white and red blood cells with a centrifuge.
Once this is complete, the patient’s own concentrated PRP is administered back into their body at the source of the damaged tissue, thereby jump starting and strengthening the body’s natural healing signals.
This procedure is non-invasive and should take only 30 minutes. Because this is made from a patient’s own blood, there is little to no risk of infection, rejection, or allergic reaction. PRP not only lifts the skin away from the bone, but also creates new blood flow, improves skin volume, and creates a younger complexion and more youthful aesthetic appearance.
PRP Versus Cortisone
Research shows that PRP generates long lasting relief for patients, and is more effective than cortisone injections, which have no healing capabilities and simply cover up inflammation. PRP is known to actually regenerate or regrow healthy tissue, and provides a more permanent healing process.
